Christmas Morning

We had a great little Christmas just at home. It snowed over 7 inches overnight so it was a cold, snowy day- great to stay indoors in our jammies and warm fire. The boys were so excited and were in disbelief that Santa ate the cookies, fed his reindeer the carrots and drank his milk! We took turns opening each present and it was pretty well controlled chaos! The boys played with their presents all day long and we spent countless hours putting together 4 giant sets of legos! The boys were in heaven. It was so nice having sweet little Benson here with us this Christmas too! It was fun face timing with my family in Marana since everyone was there except us.

By the end of the day the torture from milk coming in had lessened so that was a relief! We didn't plan Christmas dinner very well though and had to scrounge around for food! Little Benson interrupted our planning a bit! But it was nice to be together and have a low key, relaxed Christmas this year!

The boys were so excited with their legos, Levi was in love with having Tigee's mom and dad, and Shaddie loved everything Paw Patrol! He mostly was so happy to have more socks to carry around and his Paw Patrol underwear! He wore all 6 pairs over his diaper all day long. :) We sure love these boys and it's fun seeing their excitement in everything.

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve at Guy and Ruth's house with TJ's siblings. It was pretty low key and relaxing. The boys had a ton of fun playing outside in the snow with Grandpa Guy pulling them on a sled with the riding lawn mower. I didn't take too many pictures since I was pretty miserable with my milk coming in. Perfect timing! ;) It was the first time the brand new cousins met and Ginger and I had great plans to take super cute pictures of Benson and Cade together but they didn't turn out so great, ha. It was still a good day spent with family!

That night Santa came and Santa was SOOO glad that everything was already done and ready!! Everyone can make fun of Santa all they want for being completely done with Christmas in October, (including having everything wrapped)- it was so worth it!

Tigee's Mom and Dad!! The family is now complete!!
The first thing Levi said when he saw it, "Next Christmas I'm going to ask Santa for Tigee's grandma and grandpa!"

Santa with Benson

Somehow in my crazy mind, I just couldn't have Christmas without getting a picture of all 4 boys with Santa since Benson officially was born before Christmas 2015. We came home from the hospital the evening of the 23rd so our only day was Christmas Eve! I found a Santa at Traverse Mountain, bundled everyone up in the bitter cold with their matching jammies, stood in line for forever, paid $20 for my two tiny 5x7's so I could take my own pics (I didn't realized they charged money- ugh), and checked it off my list in my insane head!! :)

Right before this Benson had a doctor's appointment for a weight check. He was born 7 lbs, 14 oz but on discharge he was down to 7 lbs, 3 oz. Today at the doctor's he was 7 lbs, 1 oz. Typically newborns loose about 7% of their birthweight and Benson was down almost 10%. However, the pediatrician thought he looked great overall and my milk was coming in (ouch, ouch, OUCH!) and so we didn't have to do anything. Yay!

Benson with Santa at 3 days old. This Santa was so sweet and gentle with him. It was actually almost worth the money. :)

These drawings are what my siblings and I gave to my parents for Christmas- one of Tyrell for my mom and the other of my Grandma Wengert for my dad. Jessie sent me the video of them opening it- it was SO touching and they loved it. My mom said it was the best gift she's ever received! There wasn't a dry eye in the room and I was bawling watching the video.

We let the boys open the presents from my mom and dad the Sunday before Christmas since it helps so much to spread things out and occupy for them an entire day when I was huge and pregnant and counting down the hours to be induced. They LOVED the gifts and were the Hulk and Falcon all day long.

I had gotten a groupon for a really cool Christmas light drive though show and wanted to use it before Christmas. We kind of ran out of days with Benson coming and so the only time to do it was right after getting discharged from the hospital on the 23rd. It would've been just fine if it wasn't so far away- I didn't realize it was in Salt Lake. Ugh. The actual show was pretty awesome and the kids loved it- it was just driving there and back that made TJ and I wonder what had we done... four kids was a little daunting in that moment with lots of crying and hungry tired kids! Ha!

I'm so grateful for TJ- he took these last two weeks of December off since he didn't have school, just to help me and take care of the older boys. He's completely taken over doing all the dishes, helping the boys with their dailies, holding Benson and letting me nap and rest whenever possible. It's going to be a real slap in the face when he goes back!! Shaddie and him are best buddies and this has been a lifesaver since Shad's been having a hard time adjusting to the new baby who's taking all the time with his mom! It's already getting better though so I think it won't last too long....hopefully!
