The Finishing Touch

So I've always seen vinyl wall letterings in people's houses and have been wanting to try it! I figured the baby's room is a good place for one and so here it is! I really like it and was pretty easy to put up. It's kinda hard to tell from the picture but it's a navy blue color. It's amazing all the options and ideas that you can find online. It just added so much to the room and I think his room is basically almost done! It's been a really fun project.

Now we are ready for him to come!

So my mother-in-law recently came back from a cruise to Mexico and look what she brought back....Ty's first soccer jersey!! The picture of the shorts with the soup can next to it is supposed to show how tiny they are!! It's super little and cute! Thanks Grandma Hendriksen!! TJ is already counting down the days when he and Ty will watch the World Cup together (this coming up June) while they each wear their favorite soccer stuff.

Our Child

HAHAHAHA!!! So I've always heard how you can combine your pictures to see what your future child would look like but....... um..... well, I wasn't expecting little Ty to come out half black and with an afro!! I died laughing when I showed TJ this.... I guess this child has a face only a mother could love!

So Many Blessings!!

I've just been thinking how grateful I am for all the little things in life and the small, daily, trivial trials really help us learn and grow and appreciate other people so much. I've been thinking I've been needing to write them down...

- I'm grateful for a tired, worn out husband because he works so hard in school, studying and striving to get good grades so he can eventually support our little family, waking up at 5am each day to get to early classes and spend hours in the math lab. :) He's such a cool nerd!
-I'm grateful my clothes don't fit, that I'm fat and cranky and tired all the time because that means our little boy is growing and healthy and getting ready to come into this world!
-I'm grateful to get up at 4:30am and come home at 7pm after working and running around for 12+ hours straight because that means we have a job and steady income.
- I'm grateful we are paying rent, a morgage, and tuition because it's teaching us how to save, find good deals, and only buy what we need. It also teaches us the importance of living within our means and preparing for the future.
-I'm grateful for having to work two Sundays a month because it helps me appreciate the opportunity to go to church and actually partake of the sacrament. It has become a treat instead of an obligation.
-I'm grateful that we get to give ten percent of what we earn because that small amount only qualifies us for more blessings to come.
- I'm grateful that I live in this cold, wintery, snowy state away from my family because it helps me appreciate the warm, sunny weather when it comes and has helped me grow closer to my family that is away. We appreciate the time we have together when we are visiting and has helped me draw closer to my husband and his family as well.
-I'm grateful for the little condo that we live in since the only reason we live here is because my in-laws are so wonderful and offered it to us. It's bigger than anything else we could afford and is literally 3 minutes from my work.
-I'm grateful my job is our only income right now because that means TJ can get through school twice as fast by taking 20+ credits each semester.
- I'm grateful that I've been working 50+ hours a week and for a boss that is giving me extra hours and responsibilities since this gives us extra income and makes the weeks of pregnancy go by faster!
-I'm grateful we can't find anyone to buy our other house because it's teaching us to rely on our Heavenly Father and look for other options to solve our problems. I know He's aware of our needs, both spiritually and temporally, and all things will work our for our benefit in the end.
